New Thinner, Fire-Rated Framing from GPX

San Francisco, CA – September 22, 2002 -- GPX, manufacturer of fire-rated aluminum wall and door assemblies, announces the introduction of a thin, designer profile to its comprehensive framing system. This attractive new frame design meets all code requirements and allows for large vision panels in fire-rated walls up to two hours and rated doors up to 90 minutes. By incorporating the appropriately rated glazing material in this narrow framing, you can create the maximum barrier against fire and radiant heat transfer with a thin, designer look.

GPX narrow, aluminum wall assemblies are classified as transparent walls and are limited in area only by approved glazing sizes. The same narrow door assemblies, in aluminum or clad with any finish, in single-leaf or pairs, can be incorporated into virtually any wall where design, light and life-safety are required -- in door thicknesses ranging from 1-1/2 inches to 4 inches (the new standard). GPX systems are listed and labeled by WHI and UL.

GPX patented, fire-rated, aluminum wall and door assemblies now feature a thinner, more aesthetically pleasing profile. For more information, and downloadable details and specifications, visit our website: www.gpxframing.com.
